Last week, Serena Williams got the world talking when she posted a photo of herself with a tiny baby bump tagged “20 weeks”. Although  the tennis super star deleted the photo, the entire world was already set on fire as she and her baby bump became the world’s number one trending topic.

Well, few days after confirming her pregnancy, Serena Williams has risen one spot to become the World No.1  once again, replacing Angelique Kerber of Germany  at the top whilst Czech Republic’s Karolina Pliskova holds third spot. In celebration of the feat, Serena Williams took to her Instagram to share a loving tribute to her baby.

“My Dearest Baby, You gave me the strength I didn’t know I had. You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I can’t wait to meet you. I can’t wait for you to join the players box next year. But most importantly, I am so happy to share being number one in the world with you…. once again today. On @alexisohanian bday. 😉 from the world’s oldest number one to the world’s youngest number one. -Your Mommy” – She wrote.

Looking Ahead

According to her publicist, Kelly Bush Novak, Serena “looks forward to returning in 2018” and the same was echoed by her coach, Patrick Mouratoglou. We all know that the highly competitive 35 yr old Williams is determined to meet and beat Margaret Court’s 24 Grand Slam record (Williams currently has 23 Grand Slams).

We are excited to follow Serena’s pregnancy style in the coming months seeing as her famous pals, Beyonce and Ciara are both slaying their pregnancies (No pressure Serena). The athlete is reportedly due to give birth in September.
