That Rihanna reign just won’t let up! Who says jill of all trades can’t be a master of all? With 14 no.1 singles on the billboard hot 100, 9 Grammy awards under her belt, 12 billboard music awards, a successful acting career, 6 Guinness world records and a fashion icon award among other countless accolades, this award winning star has proven that she can be a master of everything she does.
Recently, the singer-turned-entrepreneur was spotted wearing custom Fenty sunglasses which sparked rumours that the artiste was coming out with an accessory line. Well, the rumours might just be right as Rihanna is being tipped to seal a ground shaking high-end fashion brand deal with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the parent company of Dior, Givenchy, Fendi, Bulgari and many other subsidiaries. If the reports turn out to be true, this would make the Barjan singer the first black woman to get such a deal with the LVMH group. With her Fenty Beauty stocked at multinational beauty chain Sephora, her collaborations with Dior etc all under the parent company of LVMH, Rihanna’s relationship with the luxury giants is not new.
Let’s take a quick look at Rihanna’s rise in the fashion industry; In 2005 she had an endorsement deal with secret body spray, in 2011, she launched her first fragrance “Reb’l Fleur” and in 2012, she launched her second fragrance “Rebelle” and third fragrance “Nude”. Riri also ventured into a collaboration with MAC to create a limited edition collection “Riri hearts MAC” which sold out in no time. In 2013, the icon came back with a new fragrance “Rouge” before partnering with Puma as their creative director in 2014. But she didn’t stop here for in 2017, she launched Fenty Beauty, a makeup line that shook the world and last year (2018) she launched her first lingerie collection Savage X Fenty, embracing all body types.
