The Akwa Ibom State government received Hilda Baci on a courtesy visit to her home state as a special guest at the inauguration ceremony of their newly elected Governor.
The state government and the people of Akwa Ibom led by the newly elected Governor, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno through the Commissioner for Tourism and Culture Hon. Orman Esin received Hilda with pomp and glitz as she paid a courtesy visit to her home state. Hilda Baci was honoured as a special guest for the inauguration ceremony on the 29th of May, 2023.
Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Tourism and Culture, Hon. Orman Esin gave her a warm welcome. The commissioner hosted her in his residence for a private dinner with family and close associates as she arrived in Uyo, the state capital on the 28th of May.
In his welcome speech, Hon. Esin showered Hilda with encomiums and extended a goodwill message from the outgoing Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Governor Udom Emmanuel.
The newly elected Governor, Pastor Umo Eno in his inaugural speech lauded Hilda on the success of her world record-breaking feat for the longest cooking hours by an individual.
Hilda was also received as a special guest at the inauguration banquet where the Governor and the people of Akwa Ibom state praised her resilience and urged her to keep making Akwa Ibom proud.
