The Peak Performing (TPP) Woman of The Year has called for entries for its maiden edition, which opens from April to 31st May 2023. This is coming weeks after the huge launch of TPP Magazine and the recognition of 100 highly esteemed executives in Africa by The Peak Performer.
The Peak Performing Woman of The Year.
The Peak Performing Woman of The Year 2023 Summit, Exhibition & Awards is scheduled for 23rd June 2023 in Lagos, Nigeria with the theme Embracing Equity for A More Sustainable Future.
The event is aimed to be a special annual edition. It will feature 100 remarkable women in Africa across multiple industries and generations in Africa.
Individuals and corporate organizations are invited to nominate remarkable women across Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM); Social Impact & Sustainability; Banking & Finance; Professional Services; Marketing, Media & Entertainment; Human Capital Development; IT & Telecommunications; Real Estate & Construction; Energy, Clean Energy, Oil & Gas, and other Natural Resources.
According to the convener and world-class Performance Strategist, Dr. Abiola Salami, the post-pandemic world requires a new level of action.
“The World Economic Forum and the Oliver Wyman Forum report that “women have been hit hard by the harsh conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic causing them to adapt to new realities.” These new realities, in our opinion, require a new level of commitment to engaging, empowering, and recognizing women, especially those that are blazing the trail and setting new records.”
He further stated that “The Peak Performing Women Project is the vehicle for driving a renewed commitment to empowering, engaging, and recognizing women in their quest for delivering excellence in a post-pandemic world based on Goal 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals. The project aims to equip women to deliver excellence as career professionals, entrepreneurs, social innovators, political office holders, and in their personal lives. It will enable more women to live beyond misperceptions, stereotypes, and misplaced emotions that could limit the God-given exceptional nature within the woman for the development of humanity.”
He concluded that “The Peak Performing Women of The Year is our third level of action in this renewed commitment. We started with The Peak Performing Woman Series and The Peak Performing Woman Interactive Session and we are bringing women together across Africa for a time of connection, capacity development, and celebration at The Peak Performing Woman of The Year 2023.
While a high-level jury will review the nominees, the 100 women, who make the final list, will be recognised at The Peak Performing Woman of The Year 2023 Summit, Exhibition & Awards.
The event will address issues on embracing equity and proffer workable solutions for the 1000-plus onsite and 5000-plus women who will be in attendance.
