Nigerian fashion and lifestyle brand, David Wej has opened a UK store, situated at the heart of London – In Great Portland street, just off Europe’s busiest shopping, Oxford Street!

David Wej was founded by Adedayo David Eweje who created the brand after his university degree and a stint with telecom giants Econet and Globacom. With Eweje at the helm, the brand specializes in the design, production, marketing, and distribution of premium ready-to-wear apparel and accessories.

Since its creation, David Wej has gained recognition as a leading Nigerian lifestyle brand, dressing the most fashionable stars and public figures including veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damijo; artist, entrepreneur & politician, Banky Wellington; music legend, 2Baba Innocent Idibia; TV host & fashion influencer, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu; actor, lifestyle influencer and reality star, Tobi Bakre and many more. Now with its UK store, David Wej of Lagos will also dress some of Europe’s finest.

The David Wej UK Expansion

As with most thriving businesses, there was need for expansion and what makes this all so inspiring is that it’s happening right in the middle of a global pandemic, in the highly fashionable Oxford Street.

Not only did David Wej open a London store, alongside its creative director Adedayo David Eweje, the fashion brand also has a solid startup team to boot!

Anthony Procopi: Former director of men and women’s wear at T.M Lewin, with over 24 years experience in fashion retail supply chain.

Jane Sarkisova: Over 15 years of managerial experience in menswear multichannel retail, merchandising, data analytics, buying and logistics. She worked with T.M Lewin, Jack Wills and Ede & Ravenscroft.

David Mayers: Over 7 years of managerial experience in retail, worked with Sports Direct, Dicksons Carphone and T.M Lewin.

Looks like greater things are about to happen for the David Wej brand. It’s the “David Wej of Lagos” part for us. We love to see this displayed proudly in London!
