According to Pulse.ng in January 2019, The Chairman of Zinox Group, Leo Stan Ekeh said that the failure rate of technology start-ups in Nigeria was about 75%.  According to invoice.ng, 80% of new businesses and start-ups fail within the initial three (3) years of starting.  According to vanguardngr.com, financial experts say that about 80% of Small and Medium Enterprises in Africa fail within the first five (5) years of their existence due to lack of experience and wrong business practices. Mr Ugochukwu Chris-Aladum, Manager Stanbic IBTC plc stated that a lack of proper structure is a prevailing issue amongst small businesses in Africa

According to statistics, a staggering number of early stage start-ups and small businesses have gone into exile and oblivion. Young entrepreneurs are passionately channelling their energy into driving massive ideas at the expense of the ignorance of structure and organization of these ideas. Talem Business School (Nigeria’s First Structure Business School) was set up to address this prevailing issue of structure by empowering African Startup Entrepreneurs with the right tools and techniques to launch and build structured businesses thereby scaling their performance, productivity and profitability.
