The Critics’ Choice Association recognized and awarded deserving TV shows and stars with the Critics’ Choice Awards Sunday in Santa Monica, California. This is its 25th anniversary and it was hosted by American actor, Taye Diggs. Eddie Murphy, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Kristen Bell, Brad Pitt, Ava DuVernay, Joaquin Phoenix were amongst the biggest winners from last night.
However, the following people won at the red carpet with tasteful and unique outfits. These are the best dressed stars at the Critics’ Choice Awards, 2020.

- Lupita Nyong’o
Oscar winning actor Lupita was styled by Micaela in a coffee brown gown from Michael Kors. Imagine chocolate but in human and a dress form. She paired this exquisite look with lots of bracelets, bronze belt, earrings and a gold clutch.
- Ava DuVernay
The director of the popular biopic “When they See Us”, Ava hit the Critics’ Choice Awards styled by Jason Bolden in a white gown by Michael Cinco Haute Couture. The fabric pattern is so different yet unique and beautiful. We would have loved if she had her locks styled at the back to bring more attention to her face. She opted for transparent pumps and minimal accessories.
- Charlize Theron
The South African was dressed in a deep V, shimmery dress by Celine to the Critics’ Choice Awards. She wore a black jacket over the gown to maybe turn down the heat a little but I bet it didn’t work because she is smoking hot. For accessories, she chose a long diamond neck piece, earrings and a bracelet. She finished it off with a black purse and black ankle strap heels.
- Jennifer Lopez
Oscar nominee JLo stood out in nude gown by Georges Hobeika. The back of the revealing dress was outlined with jewels at the neck, sides and at the waist. She judiciously accessorized with diamond earrings and a bracelet, with an encrusted purse.
- Nicole Kidman
Legendary actor Nicole Kidman opted for an Armani Prive couture black tube princess gown for the event. It’s a simple but flattering look and it certainly showed off her toned arms and skin. She also accessorized minimally with diamonds and paired her outfit with a black clutch.
- Zendaya Coleman
The actor and fashion star attended the Critics’ Choice Awards in a pink two piece from Tom Ford, styled by her long time stylist and collaborator, LuxuryLaw. This outfit definitely brought a different flavour to the red carpet. She barely accessorized but matched the outfit with a pair of D’orsays.
- Susan Kelechi Watson
The American actor stepped out to the Critics’ Choice Awards in a cream gown by haute couture brand Galia Lahav. The two faced dress looked so lovely on her and we loved how she styled her natural hair, giving a youthful look. She accessorized with diamond earrings and bangles and a shimmery cream clutch.
- Christine Baranski
The American actor wore a long sleeved, floor length matte black gown by Antonio Beradi. The gold embellishments at the bust and down the arms took the gown from dry to dripping and we love that. She accessorized with a gold clutch and a pair of diamond earrings.
- Niecy Nash
Niecy wore a one shouldered deep sea blue sequin gown from Tadashi Shoji. The wrap style dress was form fitting and it had a nice little knee high slit. She wore a pair of D’orsays and paired her outfit with a black purse and diamond earrings.
- Anne Hathaway
The actor looked ravishing in a gold gown from Atelier Versace. The gown had a deep plunging neckline that showed off smooth skin while the rest of the gown hugged her tight. She accessorized with diamonds and a metallic clutch.
