King of Boys, the 2nd feature film from Kemi Adetiba was premiered to pomp and glamour on Sunday the 21st of October at the Film House Lekki, Lagos. Written and directed by Adetiba, the movie follows the story of Alhaja Eniola Salami, a businesswoman and philanthropist with a checkered past and a promising political future. In line with the story, the premiere was themed “Gangsta Royalty” and as always, we’ve created the ultimate best dressed list (men and women) from the glam night. As expected, black dominated the carpet but there were a few who stood out in their popping colors.
The King herself! Lead character of the movie, Sola Sobowale wasn’t about to be out-done by her subjects. She showed up and showed out wearing Luminee Couture (design house owned by her daughter).
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu‘s outfit is usually the most anticipated at any red carpet event. The fashionisto didn’t disappoint, adding some African spice to the gangsta royalty theme.Ini Dima-Okojie never fails to bring it. The fact that she was wearing fuschia did not take away from her gangsta-ness and you can’t deny that in this combo from FabLane by Derin, she can only be the leader of the mafia.Newly wed Lala Akindoju wearing Mai Atafo got the theme to a T, you just want to meet her and ask, how may I be of service today boss?Debola Williams stuck to his usual red and white colors but was in line with the theme wearing this agbada by Magnum Stitches. The media boss sure looked like a gangsta king.Adesua Etomi is a golden gangsta in a superhero-esque jumpsuit by TopeFnRDesigner, Toyin Lawani looked like a don from an old Italian mafia family in this boss ensemble from her own fashion line, Tiannah StylingAdaora Mbelu-Dania looked like she could be your most dependable top-notch hitman.Gangsta Attitude: Michelle Dede shut the red carpet down in this fierce look by S.B.YouMe and a gangsta pose to boot!Kinglsee was giving us some smooth and suave Ghost (Power TV series) vibes with this look. She looked like the head honcho gangsta wife.Noble Igwe styled himself and landed on our best dressed list in this bad ass outfit by Reves ClothingIreti Doyle has not had a bad red carpet outing lately and she wasn’t about to start at the KOB premiere either. The veteran actress was commanding the premiere in a green and yellow ensemble by Sisiano.Styled by ThinkFan, Big Brother Naija’s BamBam was a gangsta babygirl in a peach getupLatasha Ngwube came through dripping in beautiful black outfit by Aimanoshi Dania plus a tiara to cement her gangsta royalty.
King of Boys features a great cast including Sola Sobowale, Jide Kosoko, Adesua Etomi, Reminisce, Osas ighodaro Ajibade and more. The movie opens in cinemas nationwide from the 26th of October.
