The September 2020 schedule is packed with quite a few notable shows and specials to keep fans and viewers entertained. Quite a few series are hitting the airwaves for the first time, such as Ratched and Power Book II while the likes of Baby, an Italian production is making a return. Here are the four highly anticipated TV series for the month.

Power Book II

Release Date: September 6

Network: Starz

Ghost is one of the spin-offs of Power that has been announced together with the renewal of the sixth and final season of Power itself. The narrative will pick up just days after the events of the last season.

Picking up days after the Power finale, the series follows Tariq navigating his new life, in which his desire to shed his father’s legacy comes up against the mounting pressure to save his family. Keshia B is suspenseful and the character to look for this season. Tariq turns to the familiar drug game, entangling himself with a cutthroat family headed by Monet Stewart Tejada (Mary J. Blige) and figures out that the only way to avoid the same fate his father met is to become him — only better.

The cast also includes Gianni Paolo as Brayden Weston, Quincy Tyler Bernstine as Tameika Washington, Daniel Bellomy as Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Cross, Paige Hurd as Lauren Baldwin, Melanie Liburd Caridad ‘Carrie’ Milgram, Justin Marcel McManus as Jabari Reynolds, Woody McClain as Cane Tejada, Lovell Adams-Gray as Dru Tejada, and LaToya Tonodeo as Diana Tejada.

Ratched

Ratched is an American psychological horror drama web television series, based on the 1962 novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey. Ratched is a suspenseful drama series that tells the origin story of asylum nurse Mildred Ratched. In 1947, Mildred arrives in Northern California to seek employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind. On a clandestine mission, Mildred presents herself as the perfect image of what a dedicated nurse should be, but the wheels are always turning and as she begins to infiltrate the mental health care system and those within it, Mildred’s stylish exterior belies a growing darkness that has long been smoldering within.

Baby (SEASON 3)

Network: Netflix

Baby is an Italian teen drama web television series created for Netflix.The first season debuted on 30 November 2018. The series follows students at an elite high school in Rome who engage in prostitution.It is loosely based on the story of two high school girls in Rome Inspired by the Baby Squillo case, “Baby” stars Benedetta Porcaroli as Chiara and Alice Pagani as Ludo, disillusioned high schoolers who enter into the world of prostitution. Season two found Chiara diving deeper into her secret side project as a means of protecting her best friend Ludo and boyfriend Damiano (Riccardo Mandolini).

Additionally, Ludo ended up getting manipulated back into the control of her obsessive “pimp” Fiore (Giuseppe Maggio), and Damiano accidentally made an unsettling discovery.

The Boys (SEASON 2)

Network: Prime Amazon

The Boys is an American superhero web television series developed by Eric Kripke for Prime Video. Based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, it follows the eponymous team of vigilantes as they combat superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities. The series primarily focuses on two groups: the Seven, Vought International’s premier superhero team, and the titular Boys, vigilantes looking to keep the corrupted heroes under control.

The Boys are led by Billy Butcher, who despises all superpowered people, and the Seven are led by the egotistical and unstable Homelander. As a conflict ensues between the two groups, the series also follows the new members of each team: Hughie Campbell of the Boys, who joins the vigilantes after his girlfriend is killed by one of the Seven; and Annie January / Starlight of the Seven, a young and hopeful heroine forced to face the truth about the heroes she admires.
