The holidays are over (how sad?) . Two things synonymous with the holidays are food and parties! We let down our hair and our diet go slack to enjoy all the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year delicacies. Well,we’ve got you covered if you’re looking to shed those extra pounds added or if you just want to detox and be healthy.

Guess who’s helping us out with this? Our very own star actress and editor of  her lifestyle website goop, Gwyneth Paltrow! The 41 year old mother of two has a more than banging body + she was 2013 PEOPLE’s world most beautiful woman so we’re certain she knows a thing or more about detox and you’d want to listen to her.

“We created detox recipes that won’t leave you feeling cold and hungry during the winter months, with guidance from Dr. Alejandro Junger, a specialist on the subject (check out his book Clean Gut if you haven’t already – life-changer)” she says .

She shared  a menu prepared by the duo on goop :

Daily Menu

Quinoa stuffed Kabocha as seen on goop. For more recipes of meals featured on the detox menu, go to goop

They say to avoid:  dairy, gluten, shellfish, anything processed (including all soy products), nightshades (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and eggplant), condiments, sugar, alcohol, caffeine and soda.
We don’t know about the tomatoes though, we think tomatoes are so good (very rich antioxidants) they should never be avoided but then what do we know?
Glace tip: Stay hydrated, Drink lots of water and herbal teas. Fruit purees ( different fruits juiced to a pulp) could also take the place of breakfast.  Be disciplined and follow the menu, do some  easy exercises such as squatting, power walking, running etc.. Use the saunas at the gym.  Stay healthy and get your pre-holiday or an even hotter body back!
