Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker can be termed to have one of the successful celebrity marriages yet, as we have over the years seen the couple thrive as a Hollywood celebrity couple. Hollywood being a clime where many marriages hardly make it through the rocks.
The story of these two is an inspiring and exciting one spanning several years of being together, but first, let’s meet our guest stars.
Boris Kodjoe.
Boris Kodjoe is an Austrian born American actor, genetically though he’s half German and half Ghanaian. He was a model at the beginning of his career and later ventured into acting and went on to be on major home popular movies, such as Soul Food, Brown Sugar and a host of TV series like “The Last Man On Earth” and a co-star in BET’s Real Husbands Of Hollywood. He’s currently playing the role of a ‘disgraced’ fire chief on Station 19, a spinoff series of Grey’s Anatomy, and the list goes on.
Nicole Ari Parker.
Parker is a well accomplished Hollywood actress with stints in modelling, she has many awards to show for her many years in the movie industry spanning from 1995 down till date. Talking about awards, Parker is a 5x recipient of the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama. Parker has featured in well known shows like Some Time Around and Soul Food, Lee Daniel’s Empire and more recently, Dick Wolf’s Chicago PD.
How They Met.
Boris and Parker met in dramatic fashion, like they literally met on a drama in which they played lovers; charming right? Did we mention that the TV drama was Soul Food? So cute!
Parker said when she first saw Boris during the first rehearsal, she said to herself “he’s hot”. She said they felt connected and found it quite easy to talk to each other and felt comfortable around each other. They soon got married a few years later and have two teenage kids, Sophie Kodjoe (16) and Nicolas Kodjoe (14).
All may not have been rosy all the time, but believe the couple have found a working rhythm within themselves to weather the storm, and with that, they have earned a spot on our couple goals segment.
