The SAG Awards were held last night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and the award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a motion picture went to Parasite. This is the first time a foreign-language film has won in that category.
Joaquin Phoenix won for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role in a motion picture for his performance for Joker. Brad Pitt and Laura Dern took the awards for outstanding performances by a male and female actor in supporting roles in a motion picture for their work in Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood and Marriage Story, respectively.
The year’s top box-office hit, Avengers: Endgame, won for outstanding performance by a stunt ensemble in a motion picture. Robert De Niro, 76, received the Life Achievement Award.
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, who were married from 2000 to 2005, reunited on the SAG Awards stage. Pitt joked about his failed marriages during his acceptance speech.
Pitt and Aniston won at 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night for their respective roles in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and The Morning Show. while these two were married from 2000 to 2005, they were the most talked about couple at the time. They’ve both since remarried other partners and divorced them but fans are optimistic that their love can be rekindled.
The SAG awards were broadcast live on TBS and TNT.
