Facebook COO and founder of Lean In Foundation, Sheryl Sandberg wants to ban the word “bossy”
and she’s pulled in the right names to help launch her new campaign.

Sherly Sandberg’s “Ban Bossy” campaign sees her launching banbossy with former US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice and Girls Scouts USA CEO Anna Maris Chavez to equip young girls with leadership skills. Together, they released an all star packed PSA (Public Service Announcement) via YouTube today.

The video points out that by middle school, girls are less interested in leadership than boys because they are afraid to be labelled bossy. The PSA which barely exceeds the 1 minute mark features Beyonce, Jennifer Garner, Diane Von Furstenberg, NASCAR champ Jimmie Johnson and US Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. Sandberg, Rice and Chavez also appear in the video.

This, in our opinion is a good development coming just a couple of days after International Women’s Day.
