“Knit on with confidence and hope, through all crisis” – Elizabeth Zimmerman
In the event of the COVID-19 Pandemic, there’s been a lot of panic spreading, fear and deaths. The world’s economy has been affected and even in the crisis the world wonders if things will ever be the same again after.
As much as there are physical and economic consequences of this virus, there are also mental and emotional consequences. While this is something most people especially Africans don’t like to talk about, it has to be addressed. A healthy mind will help a healthy body function optimally and either of the two cannot exist independently.
Glazia is thrilled to bring you the Glazing Health challenge! Starting from today the 6th of April, the14-Day Glazing Health Challenge has been designed to keep your spirit, body and mind in optimal form. Are you ready to be transformed? Click Here to join and receive our daily letters
DAY 1 – Write 20 Things You Love About Yourself
Today’s challenge aims to remind you about how amazing you are so you can appreciate and love up on some “YOU”. You deserve to be the first recipient of your generosity and kindness.
According to renowned Life coach Lanre Olusola; “Love yourself first and everything else will fall in place”
This exercise will require you to do some soul searching, meditation and observe some quiet time. All which is exactly what you need at this time. In your reflection, you can put all the criticism away, the self-inflicted pressure, and from the depth of your heart find 20 things you love about you. What will this do?
Dr Kerrie – Anne Brown LMHC, was asked the benefit of self-love and she said in quote; “Love begets love and so when you’re drawn to give to others, you have the energy to give. In turn, giving energizes you. Everyone benefits. As cliché as it sounds, self-love is the gift that keeps on giving. And what’s more important than that?”
After self-reflecting and putting down 20 things you genuinely love about yourself, you would realize how beautiful and amazing you are as a person and why you should be kinder to yourself and value who you are. Do write us to let us know your thoughts and experiences and nominate your friends and family to take part using the hashtag – #GlazingHealth.
