It’s been a week since Big Brother Naija season seven premiered and there’s a lot to unpack already. This year’s housemates came fully prepared to entertain us with everything from drama to fun and we’re being truly entertained. Apparently, Beauty Tukura came with extra drama.
Yesterday, for the first time in BBNaija‘s history, a housemate was issued a strike in the first week. The housemate, Beauty Tukura, who was also Miss Nigeria in 2019, quarrelled with another housemate, Ilebaye. The altercation went as far as Beauty removing the latter’s wig and cap to instigate a fight. Ilebaye was also issued her first warning.
Yesterday, the housemates from both levels partied together for the first time and a lot was unravelled. We learned that Sheggz and Groovy had been roommates earlier and were good friends as were Beauty and Doyin. More drama occurred as we watched Doyin kiss Cyph and Phyna also kiss Eloswag. Thereafter, Beauty took things personally when Groovy’s dance with Chomzy didn’t sit well with her, leading to her quarrel with Ilebaye.
According to the rules, a housemate is prone to three strikes and would be disqualified after the third one. This has been evident in past seasons where housemates have been disqualified for fighting or being chaotic. The only season we didn’t have a disqualified housemate was the #ShineYaEye Edition which held last year.
At last night’s live show, Bella Shmurda performed and a new surprise was unveiled. In alignment with people’s guesses, two new fake housemates were introduced; Deji, a pharmacist, and Modella. The former joined Level 1 housemates while the latter joined Level 2 housemates, totalling housemates from both houses to twenty-six. There was no eviction tonight.
