The reigning queen of Rap, Cardi B touched down Lagos State, Nigeria on Thursday, December 5, 2019. She arrived ahead of her show scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2019 which is taking place at Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island, also in Lagos. This is the Grammy Award winning rapper’s first time in Africa.
Upon her arrival, the rapper posted a video on her Instagram excitedly yelling, “Mehn, we’re in Nigeria, yeah! What’s popping Nigerians. This looks like Dominican Republic. This looks like DR straight up!”
Cardi B who is loved by her fans for her free-spirited nature posted on her Instagram story as early as 7am on Friday saying, “I want to go to the hood. I want to see the real Nigeria. I don’t want any hotel food. I want real Nigerian food; all that fish, all that Nigerian jollof rice.”
The show which is the first edition of Livespot X Festival will also feature other Nigerian artistes perfoeming alongside Cardi B including ‘Africa Giant’ Burna Boy, Nigeria’s first lady Pop singer; Tiwa Savage, Baddo coroner; Olamide and among others.
After her show in Lagos, Cardi B is visiting Accra the capital of Ghana for another show, the following day.
