On Sunday the 2nd of December, Versace made history! On what would have been her older brother Gianni Versace’s 72nd birthday, Donatella Versace pulled all the stops to host the brand’s first fashion show in New York city. Held at the American Stock Exchange, the Pre-Fall 2019 pop-up show was attended by some of the biggest stars in American entertainment including Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Mary J Blige, Lupita Nyong’o, Bradley Cooper, Diane Kruger, Blake Lively,Tracee Ellis Ross, 2Chainz, Ciara, Uma Thurman, Teyana Taylor, Paris Jackson and more.
The show went back in time to some of the brand’s most memorable looks. Among such looks is an updated version of Gianni Versace’s black dress held together by large Medusa-head embossed safety pins, made popular by Elizabeth Hurley at the 1994 premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral. Iconic supermodel, Amber Valetta also closed the show in a flowy, heart-printed remake of the famous green dress worn by Jennifer Lopez to the Grammys in 2000.
From Gigi Hadid to Kaia Gerber, Binx Walton, Emily Ratajkowski, Vittoria Ceretti, Hailey Bieber and others. Here are our favorite looks from the Versace pop-up show.
