Get ready! It’s four months to year end, soon the rains will cease the festivities will begin to flow back to back or at least we hope they will. We miss it. Come to think of it, our first “mber” weekend is here.

One beautiful way to unwind the weekend is by visiting the beach; the calming waves, cool blues of the sea, warm sands, fresh air and relaxing atmosphere. You could spend time meditating in the beauty of nature, reading a book, picnicking with friends and family, horseback rides and so much more. But first, what do you wear to the beach? How about any of these five?

Swim suit and Kimono

We all know a swim suit tops the list of wears to rock to the soothing environment of the beach. There are hundreds of swim suit styles to choose from sassy to classy to plain simple. A black or white one-piece should be a must have because they go well on almost everybody.

There are also two-pieces with breath-taking colours and aesthetic design you can’t do away with. Whatever your choice is, make sure it suits your complexion and complements your figure nicely. A kimono goes with the swimsuit as a cover-up. Some come with the swimsuit or instead, you may have to choose a kimono that goes well with the colour of your swimsuit.

Tank-top and Bottom

A tank top is a wardrobe necessity for every girl. It can serve as a camisole, a single top and also as a beach wear. This can be matched with a high-waist / bum short or a cute denim skirt. So far, this is the simplest, easiest and most affordable look for a beach outing

Soft Flowing Dress

What about a dress to the beach? Try a cotton or chiffon flowing dress for a soft attractive touch. Go for the ones with flower designs or frills, nude, pink, light blue, white for that classy soft look. You are sure to give off a sophisticated lady-like vibe with a flowing gown, a hat and a straw bag! According to your taste, you can wear a short flair, off-shoulders or armless gown.

Bikini Top and Shorts

Feeling almost adventurous? Take on the confident combo of a bikini top and shorts especially a ripped denim shorts. In place of a bikini top, you could simply wear your most comfortable bra top or wear a shirt at off-shoulders tied above your navel to go with the shorts.

Sarong and armless

A sarong stays comfortably on the hips and fits almost everyone who wears it. You get to tie it to your choosing – with or without a slit, short or long, high- waist or below the navel. Pair your sarong with a bra top, an armless top or mono-strap crop top. You can also use a long scarf instead of a sarong to achieve this look.

The best part about beach wears is that they all go well with a sunshade and hat; preferably a straw hat to shade your face and eyes from the sun. Doing this takes your outfit to a whole different level, giving it a sophisticated and almost edgy look; depending on the design of your shades.

Have a lovely weekend at the beach, dears!
