How did your love story begin, and what’s one detail about that day you’ll never forget?
I’d always heard about Kassia from my female friend, who’s a movie producer. She would always say Kassia is very fine, and naturally, I was curious. One day, I travelled for a movie shoot, and one of the camps was at their house. I intentionally hung around in their sitting room, waiting for Kassia to come home so I could meet her.
When she finally walked in—wow. I’ll never forget that moment. It felt like a little angel had entered the room. So pretty but so tiny—slim, I mean! She played hard to get, though. We stayed just friends for about a year before we finally started dating.
Was there a specific moment when you realised, “This is my person”? What was it like?
Oh yes. It was when a guy from abroad came into the picture and wanted to marry her. There was pressure from almost everyone because they didn’t think I was ready. Being an entertainer, people had their assumptions about me—not being serious or responsible. I was also still in school at the time, which only added to their concerns.
But Kassia blanked everyone and even came to stay with me in school for a while to escape the pressure. I remember a time when I told her we should break up because I didn’t feel like I had enough to take care of her properly. She didn’t leave. That’s when I knew—this is my person.
What’s one habit or routine you’ve built as a couple that keeps your relationship strong?
We love like kids—always humble enough to learn and unlearn. We’ve got each other’s backs no matter what, even when we’re angry. Respect for each other and a true heart of love keep us going strong.

What’s the most surprising or creative way you’ve celebrated Valentine’s Day in the past?
We’ve always celebrated Valentine’s Day differently. For us, any day can be Valentine’s Day, so we don’t put too much focus on just one day. Instead, we give back to others. Showing love every day is our way of life.
If you could relive one moment in your relationship, which would it be and why?
Our wedding day—without a doubt.
Do you have a “couple anthem” or song that holds special meaning for your relationship? What’s the story behind it?
Yes, we do! It’s Still the One by Shania Twain. The lyrics reflect our story so well. Some people didn’t believe we made the right choice by being together, but here we are—stronger, more successful, and more in love than ever.
