Public relations and reputation management firm GLG Communications has released its second PR Power List in commemoration of the 2023 World PR Day.
The List, a definitive guide to 50 of the brightest and most significant PR professionals in Nigeria, was announced at a cocktail reception held at Alliance Francaise Lagos on Friday, July 14, 2023.
Published in partnership with one of the country’s oldest and most renowned newspapers The Guardian, the list presents honorees in five categories: Icons, Changemakers, Community Impact, Rising Voices, and Media Impact.
PR Power List – Icon
Group Managing Director of CMC Connect Yomi Badejo-Okusanya led the pack with his debut appearance in the Icon category, while BHM’s founder and CEO, Ayeni Adekunle who was honored as an Icon last year, earned a spot in the Changemakers category.
Speaking on the list, Omawumi Ogbe said: “The Power List was born out of the need to recognise PR professionals because we are usually behind the scenes making magic happen for our clients and so often forget ourselves. It is also a call to action on our important role as PR professionals, reminding us not to relent in delivering our best for our clients, our industry and the greater good.”
Also commenting on the list, the Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of The Guardian Nigeria, Mr Martins Oloja, expressed the newspaper’s pride in its association with the celebration of the achievements of practitioners in the PR and communications industry in Nigeria.
“This year’s list is the continuation of a trend we set with the inaugural PR Power List in 2022, which was received with aplomb in the industry. We congratulate this year’s honorees and hope that they continue the trajectory that has made them worthy of this recognition,” he said.
