The Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) is set to host the MIPAD Recognition Week, honouring some of the most impactful figures of African descent from around the world during the UNGA High-Level Week from September 23-30, 2024, in New York.

As this year’s grand celebration also marks the conclusion of the 1st International Decade for People of African Descent, all attendees and honourees have a unique opportunity to fully leverage MIPAD’s partnership with GLG Communications for comprehensive public relations services. The Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) Global Top 100 List, established in 2015, has recognised and celebrated outstanding individuals of African descent who have made significant contributions across various fields, including Acclaimed Nigerian author and global icon Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie; Former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama; Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote; Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; South African comedian and TV Host, Trevor Noah; American basketball legend and philanthropist, LeBron James; Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus; American tennis legend and entrepreneur, Serena Williams amongst others.
