Glazia Black History Month 2022 – Hanu Fejiro Agbodje
Today, the limelight is on Hanu Agbodje. Hanu is the CEO of Patricia Technologies, an ecommerce platform that runs everything from bitcoin trading to fashion.
Born in 1995, Hanu Fejiro Agbodje grew up in Warri, Delta state. He attended University of Port Harcourt, where, before he graduated from Mathematics and Statistics department. He ran thirteen businesses which all failed; an indomie business, a popcorn stand, a delivery business, and so on.

In 2015, Hanu’s uncle sent him bitcoin instead of cash. However, Hanu was scammed after futile attempts to find a platform to sell it on. And thus began his cryptocurrency journey. The young man who initially didn’t understand what cryptocurrency was, ended up being the founder and CEO of Patricia.

Patricia is an alternative payment solutions company that facilitates the easy use of cryptocurrencies for everyday transactions.
Hanu’s company, Patricia is named after Hanu’s mum. In its fifth year, it has accumulated over 600,000 clients and has annexes all over, including China, Ghana, and Dubai. In 2021, Patricia, alongside Abeg, sponsored Big Brother Naija, the largest TV show in Africa.
Hanu, a problem-solver and serial entrepreneur since age eight, also launched Hank in 2021, a physical item tracker. He continues to break records with his plans for Patricia which he fondly calls Patricia Universe.
Patricia, also an e-commerce company, recently launched a clothing store called Roomxix (Room 19). Roomxix a luxury brand which is one of Hanu’s dreams.
In 2020, the twenty-seven year old bagged two awards including; CEO of the Year & Technology Company of the Year Awards. Hanu has also received several other awards and recognitions, both local and international.
