“The power we discover inside ourselves as we survive a life-threatening experience can be utilized equally well outside of crisis, too. I am, in every moment, capable of mustering the strength to survive again–or of tapping that strength in other good, productive, healthy ways.” – Michele Rosenthal
There has been a lot of panic spreading, fear and deaths. The world’s economy has been affected by this and even in the crisis, the world wonders if things will ever be the same again. The quarantine and self-isolation mandate have been initiated to prevent further spread and deaths.
What would you rather do at home all isolated if not a wellness challenge that keeps you zen and motivated?
DAY 7 – Boost your spirituality – study and mediatate for at least 30 minutes
If you live in a metropolitan city, for instance Lagos, and you have to beat traffic every morning, there is a huge chance that your spiritual life suffers or has to be on the go. The hustle and bustle has served as an excuse or an explanation for so long. There has been a shift in fundamental human existence as can be attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic, and now you’re home, for probably the longest period of time you’ve had in a stretch, how do you make the most of it?
Meditation is not a way of making your mind quiet, it is a way of entering into the quiet that is already there – buried under the 50,000 thoughts the average person thinks everyday – Deepak Chopra
Whatever your religion or belief system, man has always, and will always have the need to connect to a higher power or a greater dimension of knowledge, enlightenment, self-discovery and spirituality.
All forms of worship have their own holy books; Bibles, Qurans, Tripitaka, Vedas, Tanakh, Kojiki etc or other paraphernalia such as books, hadiths, tapes, journals, etc which is why today’s Glazia Health Challenge is for you to tune out the noise and distraction and get connected to the supernatural. Pick up one or two of these and study.
Don’t just study; also meditate to the point where you feel a connection to the spiritual. Do let us know your experience after this exercise by tweeting or posting on insta @glaziang using the hashtag #GlazingHealth.
