“Maybe it did take a crisis to get to know yourself; maybe you needed to get whacked hard by life before you understood what you wanted out of it.” – Jodi Picoult
The lockdown in Nigeria especially in Lagos has been extended for 14 more days, there is a possibility of an increase in fear and panic which in some cases have led to series violent reactions. A healthy mind will help a healthy body function optimally and either of the two cannot exist independently. Right now, more than ever is the time to get on board with the #GlazingHealth 14-day challenge to keep you zen and healthy.
Today’s challenge is about ensuring cleanliness and doing away with the old.
“You never know what you have, until you clean your closet” – Anonymous
Of the many things we thought would happen this year, a pandemic wasn’t one of those, but here we are. COVID-19 hit, and it hit hard. As a result, a lot of things have had to change, and as humans, adaptability in inherent in us all. Now that you are mandatorily at home, for your safety and that of others, how well are you utilizing it?
Clean Out Your Room and Organise Your Closet.
There is something about not being in a hurry to go anywhere. It makes you feel like there’s no need to get out of bed, so there’s no need to lay the bed. There’s no need to tidy up, after all, there is no one coming to visit me etc. Now pause! Regardless of the social isolation and self-quarantine trends, cleanliness should be an all day, every day culture. This is why we’re challenging you today (yes, you!) to clean out your room, and organize your closet.
There are several benefits to cleaning up your room and organizing your closet.
- A clean and tidy space helps your thought process and improves your psyche. It is a lot easier to be more productive when your space is clean and clutter free.
- A clean room means fresh air, which means better air for you to breathe, and breathing, well, that keeps you alive.
- Organizing your closet will enable you get rid of clothing you no longer need, and create space for new and better ones.
You could also give some neatly worn clothes to people who need them the most (after the lockdown of course).
Food for thought: “If you want to improve your life immediately, clean out your closet. Often it’s what we hold onto that holds us back”
You can share this with us your newly improved closet @glaziang using the hashtag #GlazingHealth.
