The Billboard Music Awards 2018 held on Sunday 20th of May, 2018 at Las Vegas. Hosted by Kelly Clarkson it was a celebratory night for music with different performances by Janet Jackson, Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend,Khalid, Camilla Cabello and Pharrell and more.
As expected, some artistes bagged more awards than others, with Kendrick Lamar and Ed Sheeran leading the pack with six awards each. Next to them were Bruno Mars, Daddy Yankee, Justin Bieber and Luis Fonsi with five awards each.

Icon Award – Janet Jackson – Multiple award winner of the night, Bruno Mars surprised fans when he took the stage to introduce Icon Award honoree, Janet Jackson. Letting everyone know that she was the “the first black woman to ever receive the Billboard Icon Award.” Jackson also hit the stage and got the audience on their feet as performed some of her greatest hits.
