The BAFTA 2023 awards ceremony took place at the Royal Festival Hall in London, England on Sunday night. “All Quiet on the Western Front,” “Elvis” and “The Banshees of Inisherin” dominated the night. There was also a royal guest appearance by the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The German film “All Quiet on the Western Front” dominated the night, winning seven awards including best film and best director. The Banshees of Inisherin” was also favoured at the event, clinching both the supporting actor and supporting actress awards, as well as the best original screenplay, among others.
Austin Butler took home the Best Leading Actor Award for his portrayal of Elvis. In addition, both Supporting Actor Awards were won by The Banshees Of Inisherin cast members Kerry Condon and Barry Keoghan. Cate Blanchett won the Best Leading Actress Award for her mesmerizing performance in TÁR.
