She looked like she had it in the bag from the start and she ended up coming out tops out of 126 contestants! In the Miss World final broadcasted live on Saturday the 28th, Miss Megan Young (Miss Philippines) became the first Filipina to win the beauty title.
Young, 23 who is an American actress and TV host, was a favorite at the pageant as she proved to be strong in three out of the five challenge events: 1st in the Top Model category, 4th in the Multimedia category, and 5th among the 11 finalists in the Beach Fashion Final.

Miss France and Miss Ghana were first and second runner-ups respectively. Ghana’s Naa Okailey Shooter also made history by being the first Ghanaian to make it to the top three in the Miss World Pageant.
