The House on The Rock Church, convener of the popular gospel music concert, The Experience, will host its maiden edition of The Word Conference at its headquarters, The Rock Cathedral from Wednesday 23rd to Sunday 26th of April 2014. The conference is an addition to the series of activities by the Church in its effort to bring the ‘Word’ to the people. The theme for the conference is ‘Dominion’.

Speaking to newsmen on the Word Conference, the Senior Pastor of the Church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin explained that the conference will host Dr. Mike Murdock, Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo, Bishop Tudor Bismark and Dr. Mensah Otabil from Ghana among others.
“The emphasis of the conference is on the ‘word’; which is why it is called the Word Conference and the theme for this year’s conference is Dominion. It will run from Wednesday night up till Sunday morning. On the morning of Saturday, April 26, we will be calling out as many men as will come for a special meeting for men only. Sunday is set aside for the super celebration service.
In the evening of that Saturday, there will be a special concert at the Rock Cathedral with Donnie McClurkin, Micah Stampley, Pita, Eben and Nathaniel Bassey. Others are Sammy Okposo, Mike Aremu, Onos, Kikelomo, Mudiaga, Glowreeyah and several of Lagos metropolitan Gospel Choir in attendance.” He said.
The House on the Rock Cathedral is a Social Justice and transformation center which is built to groom and train people to be part of the transformation process of the nation. The Word Conference in line with the objective of the center will teach participants about Dominion, and how to bring heaven’s culture, principles, purpose and realities to earth.

The Rock Cathedral prides itself of having an in-patient hospital, teaching spaces, a bible school, an institute of leadership and governance and an artisan school.
The center is also involved in activities such as refurbishing and donation of Computer systems to secondary schools in Lagos state, rehabilitation of area boys, drug addicts, prostitutes and ex-convicts and provision of free legal aids for inmates all in its bid to positively affect its community and transform the citizens for leadership.
