This month features some of the most talked-about premieres and returning series. Fans can look forward to the second season of “House of the Dragon,” the fourth season of “The Boys,” and the third season of “The Bear.” “Star Wars: The Acolyte” makes its highly anticipated debut. ‘Muri & Ko’ – Hitting cinemas nationwide on June 12th
Muri (Kunle Remi), a down-on-his-luck street boy and petty thief, pulls off his biggest robbery yet: a car. What he doesn’t know is that the car contains 8-year-old Cole, the son of a popular actress (Bisola Aiyeola). In his bid to sell the car but keep Cole safe, they get into hilarious and dangerous adventures.
Joining Kunle Remi and Bisola Aiyeola in “Muri & Ko” is a stellar ensemble cast featuring Bucci Franklin, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori (Kiekie), Charles Okocha, Fiyinfoluwa Asenuga, Femi Jacobs, and Gloria Anozie. This highly anticipated drama, produced by Inkblot Productions in collaboration with renowned director Biodun Stephen, will hit cinemas nationwide in June 2024.
‘A Family Affair’ (Netflix) – Premieres June 28 on Netflix
Imagine working for a boss who never listens to you, only to discover he’s secretly involved with your mother. This is the premise of the upcoming Netflix movie “A Family Affair.” Nicole Kidman stars as Brooke, a single mother to her diligent daughter Zara (Joey King).
Brooke begins a clandestine relationship with Chris Cole (Zac Efron), a renowned actor who is also Zara’s boss. This romantic comedy delves into the fallout from their affair, exploring themes of love and identity.
‘Bridgerton’ Season 3, Part 2 (Netflix) – Premieres June 13 on Netflix
After a passionate carriage ride, Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) become engaged. But in typical Bridgerton fashion, their path to happiness is anything but smooth.
The couple must overcome numerous challenges, with the biggest hurdle being Penelope’s secret identity as the scandalous Lady Whistledown. Eloise (Claudia Jessie), who knows Penelope’s secret, will undoubtedly have strong feelings about her brother marrying her former best friend. Meanwhile, Francesca (Hannah Dodd) faces her own romantic complications.
Òlòtūré: The Journey (Netflix) – Premieres June 28
Ebonylife’s Òlòtūré returns to Netflix as a series, three years after its initial debut. Directed by Kenneth Gyang, the show continues to explore the compelling narrative that originally captivated audiences.
The story follows a brave young journalist, portrayed by Sharon Ooja, who goes undercover across the perilous terrains of Benin, Niger, and Libya. Her quest for an escape route leads her to the Mediterranean, showcasing her unwavering courage in the face of danger.
The series welcomes new cast members Stan Nze and Bucci Franklin, who join a talented returning ensemble, including Omoni Oboli, Daniel Etim Effiong, Beverly Osu, Patrick Doyle, Ikechukwu, Sambasa Nzeribe, Segun Arinze, and Wofai Fada.
‘Fancy Dance’ (Apple TV Plus) – Premieres June 28 on Apple TV Plus

‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 (HBO and Max) – Premieres June 16 on HBO and Max
The battle for the Iron Throne intensifies as Targaryen fights Targaryen, and dragons clash in a full-scale war. Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) has declared herself the rightful queen of Westeros, while her brother King Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney) occupies the throne with the backing of his mother, Queen Alicent (Olivia Cooke).

‘My Lady Jane’ (Prime Video) – Premieres June 27 on Prime Video.
This British romantic comedy offers an alternative take on English royal history, placing Lady Jane Grey (newcomer Emily Bader) on the throne instead of the executioner’s block. Historically, Lady Jane Grey, Henry VII’s great-granddaughter, was queen for only nine days before her beheading.
In this alt-fantasy, she avoids this grim fate because her cousin, Edward VI, the son of King Henry VIII, survives. Instead of meeting a tragic end, Jane embarks on a life filled with romance and adventure.
‘Orphan Black: Echoes’ (AMC) – Premieres June 23 on AMC (via Sling or Fubo).
Fans of “Orphan Black” can look forward to the new series “Orphan Black: Echoes,” arriving soon. Set in 2052, this spinoff follows a group of women who mysteriously come into each other’s lives.
As they navigate their intertwined fates they must uncover their identities amidst a web of betrayal and love. The series stars Lucy (Krysten Ritter) and features Dr. Kira Manning (Keeley Hawes), a scientist delving into the development of cloning.
‘Presumed Innocent’ (Apple TV Plus) – Premieres June 12 on Apple TV Plus.
“Presumed Innocent” is a highly anticipated thriller series featuring Jake Gyllenhaal as Rusty, a man whose life at a Chicago attorney’s office is turned upside down when he becomes the prime suspect in the murder of a close colleague.
This miniseries delves into themes of obsession, politics, and the power of love, as Rusty fights to protect his family and salvage his marriage. Gyllenhaal, known for his roles in “Nightcrawler” and “The Guilty,” is expected to excel in this intense series due to hit our screens in June 2024.

‘The Bear’ Season 3 (FX on Hulu) – Premieres June 27 on Hulu.
Running a restaurant is tough, but keeping it open is even tougher. Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has transformed his brother’s sandwich shop into a fine dining establishment, with help from Sydney (Emmy winner Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and the rest of the team.
Now they must face daily challenges to prep, cook, and serve under Carmy’s high standards. Will the pressure become too much? Maybe. But “The Bear” delivers an adrenaline rush like no other. When stress mounts, we all say, “Yes, chef!”
‘The Boys’ Season 4 – Premieres June 13 on Prime Video.
Returning for its fourth season, “The Boys” continues its brutal exploration of heroes gone wrong. Homelander (Anthony Starr) gains power with his son, Ryan (Cameron Crovetti), at his side, and a new cast of The Seven emerges.
As Homelander consolidates his power, Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) advances in her political career. Meanwhile, the Boys are without their leader, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), who has months to live. They must find the strength to save the world on their own.
