On Sunday night at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, the Critics made their choice. The 2023 Critics Choice Awards ceremony honored the year in film and television with A24’s “Everything Everywhere All at Once” “Better Call Saul”, while ABC’s “Abbott Elementary” coming out tops

Better Call Saul dominated the television awards, winning Best Drama Series, Best Actor in a Drama Series (for Bob Odenkirk), and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (for Giancarlo Esposito). Meanwhile, Abbott Elementary and The Dropout both won two awards apiece. A24’s Everything Everywhere All at Once won Best Picture 

Chelsea Handler hosted the CW broadcast, taking over from actor Taye Diggs, who hosted the past four years of the awards ceremony. Special awards were presented to Janelle Monáe, who received the #SeeHer Award, while Jeff Bridges was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
