There are no shortages when it comes to the releases of new movies and TV series, even though the COVID-19 pandemic did put a huge dent on some highly anticipated new movie releases. However, are some “old” movies that have remained absolutely timeless, and can be enjoyed with much zest even after years or decades. As a result, we have taken the liberty to compile a short list of old movies that are still capable of rocking your weekend. Even better, these movies have been uploaded onto streaming platforms like Netflix, YouTube, iTunes, Hulu, Amazon Prime etc. so,let the fun begin…

The Terminal (2004) – Netflix

Storyline: Viktor Navorski gets stranded at an airport when a war rages in his country. He is forced by the officials to stay at the airport until his original identity is confirmed.

Step Up (2006) – iTunes

Cast: Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan
Storyline: Tyler and Nora meet at Maryland School of the Arts, where Tyler works as a janitor. They fall in love and encourage each other to follow their passion for dance and fulfil their dreams.

Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again (2018) – iTunes

Cast: Lily James, Amanda Seyfried, Meryl Streep
Storyline:  Here We Go Again is a 2018 jukebox musical romantic comedy film written and directed by Ol Parker, from a story by Parker, Catherine Johnson, and Richard Curtis. It is a follow-up to the 2008 film Mamma Mia!, which in turn is based on the West End/Broadway musical of the same name using the music of ABBA.

La La Land (2016) – Netflix

Storyline: By day, Mike makes ends meet any way he can — handyman jobs, detailing cars or designing furniture. Mike sees potential in a 19-year-old he dubs the Kid (Alex Pettyfer), takes the teen under his wing and instructs him in the tricks of the trade.
