The 2025 awards season is heating up, and the Screen Actors Guild has officially unveiled the nominees for the 2025 SAG Awards. While the announcement was originally set to be a live event hosted by Joey King and Cooper Koch, plans shifted to a press release format due to the ongoing fires in Los Angeles. Despite the quieter reveal, the buzz surrounding the SAG Awards remains louder than ever.
On the film front, Wicked leads the pack with five nominations, including recognition for its star-studded cast and standout performances by Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Jonathan Bailey. Hot on its heels is A Complete Unknown, earning four nominations, including a Leading Actor nod for Timothée Chalamet’s portrayal of Bob Dylan.
Television also has its heavy hitters, with Shōgun securing five nominations and The Bear close behind with four. As always, the SAG Awards provide a glimpse into which stars and productions may dominate the rest of the awards season.
Set to take place on 23 February at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, the 2025 SAG Awards are shaping up to be a night filled with glamour, recognition, and unforgettable moments. For now, all eyes are on the nominees and the road ahead.
