The 2024 Venice Film Festival has just concluded, leaving us with unforgettable memories and stunning fashion moments. Running from Wednesday, August 28, to September 7, this annual celebration of cinema, organised by La Biennale di Venezia, once again dazzled in the romantic Italian city. Venice’s Lido island was abuzz with star-studded parties, panels, and, of course, the coveted red carpet.
As the 81st edition of the Festival ended, it marked the end of summer and ushered in a new season of brilliant filmmaking. Actors and directors arrived by canal boat, gracing the red carpet with an array of stunning fashion statements. Jenna Ortega and Winona Ryder delivered goth glam at the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice premiere, while Angelina Jolie channelled Maria Callas, creating unforgettable sartorial moments.
The Festival’s highlights included Joker: Folie à Deux, starring Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix, and Luca Guadagnino’s Queer. With show-stopping looks from stars like Cate Blanchett in jewel-strewn Armani and Nicole Kidman in beaded Schiaparelli, the fashion was as remarkable as the films.
