Introducing three new categories — Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album, and Best Pop Dance Recording — marks a significant step toward enhancing fairness and transparency in the GRAMMY Awards. Nigerian artists, including Burna Boy, Davido, Ayra Starr, and Asake, seized Grammy nominations with these additions.
Davido, a prominent Afrobeats star, clinched three nominations:
- Best Global Music Performance for “FEEL”
- Best African Performance for “UNAVAILABLE”
- Best Global Album for “TIMELESS”
