The 2026 Golden Globes Awards wrapped up last night on January 11, 2026, delivering a night full of electric moments, fresh faces claiming their first trophies, and a celebration of bold storytelling across film, TV, and even the brand-new podcast category.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s razor-sharp One Battle After Another dominated the comedy/musical side with multiple wins, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Director for Anderson, and a standout supporting turn from Teyana Taylor, while Chloé Zhao’s poignant Hamnet took home Best Motion Picture – Drama, anchored by Jessie Buckley’s deeply moving lead performance.

Timothée Chalamet finally secured his first Globe for Marty Supreme, Wagner Moura triumphed in drama for The Secret Agent, and Netflix’s Adolescence swept the limited series categories with four big prizes, including wins for Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty, and young breakout Owen Cooper.
On the TV front, The Pitt claimed drama series honours with Noah Wyle and Rhea Seehorn shining, The Studio took comedy with Seth Rogen and Jean Smart, and the inaugural Best Podcast went to Good Hang with Amy Poehler. Add in Ludwig Göransson’s score for Sinners, the animated triumph of KPop Demon Hunters, and Ricky Gervais’ stand-up win, it was a ceremony that honoured innovation, heart, and plenty of surprises.
